The Team
 
Our data team develops machine learning technologies and data platforms based on hundreds of millions of transactions in India. This role is with the PayU India Product team, with specific focus on the Data Stewardship @ PayU comprising Initiatives that focuses on enriching PayU Payments data for various use cases. PayU Payments data has emerged as a powerful source of information.

You will be able to help shape the data-based efforts such as AI and Data Intelligence initiatives at PayU in India and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
 
·         Product Manager for the Data Products  @ PayU - PayU’s Data Quality and Enrichment Program
·         Work with all facets of the organization to Deliver data enrichment and quality improvement initiatives as defined, agreed and prioritized
·         Business Ownership cum Data Specialist role which focusses on getting the most from data, ensuring data is efficiently and effectively captured, processed, stored and disposed off
·         Build positive relationships with Technology, Product, Operations, Information Security Office partners to ensure that the Program KPIs are met
·         Enagage  with external clients, merchants, and other 3rd parties to enhance and enrich data assets
·         Shape the creation, testing and refinement of Data Quality and Enrichment requirements, covering the full customer and merchant lifecycle through the PayU Payment Gateway.
·         Establish & maintain Data Quality Scorecards to pro-actively monitor and report on data quality
·         Work with product managers on design, definition, documentation and implementation of features for new applications, business infrastructure, data security, and data structure
·         Document, monitor and revise the following artifacts in support of application development: product requirements, process maps, use cases, user acceptance test plans, project plans, and release notes
·         Assist in preparing and maintaining the product roadmap which defines product enhancements for short- and long-term releases
·         Collect and analyze data to determine product direction and define business requirements.
 
Qualifications and Requirements to be successful in this role:
 
·         6 to 10 years experience with MBA from Tier 1 institute
·         At least 3 years hands-on experience in Data Analytics/Data Engineering/Data Science
·         Experience working with business and technical project stakeholders to translate business requirements into data imperatives
·         Skilled in managing, influencing, and negotiating with business stakeholders 
·         Relevant technical knowledge spanning Data Quality/Profiling and Data Management processes with the ability to identify technology solutions
·         Working knowledge of business intelligence/reporting tools such as Tableau with related experience in analyzing data as well as writing SQL queries and reports.
·         Experience of developing data profiling routines and data quality scorecards
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills (for external use as well as internal liaison and influencing)
·         Change Leadership skills, able to set an agenda and convince others to follow - a proven ability to influence people and challenge the status-quo
·         Proficiency with software development methodologies such as Agile and experience working with Scrum teams
·         Experience with Agile software development tools such as Jira or other Agile reporting tools
