Role : Senior Director Enterprise Risk Management
Location: Gurgaon/Mumbai


Role Description
PayU India is seeking an experienced leader as the Head of Enterprise Risk Management. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to join a transforming business and play a key role in embedding risk management into the organization's culture.
 
In this role, the individual will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing business excellence by effectively managing and mitigating significant risks and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The focus will be on strengthening, redefining, and implementing a robust enterprise risk management function that supports the organization's strategic goals. The individual will lead the development of a strong culture of risk management, bringing together multiple teams such as transaction risk, operational risk, process risk, enterprise risk and IT security risk. The individual will also establish an ecosystem to effectively identify and measure risk, provide guidance and structure risk mitigation into products and transactions.
 
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Risk strategy formulation
Scan the macroscopic market competition and refine/ upgrade risk policies to balance business growth and risk control requirement
Develop risk related strategy and plan to deliver on business portfolio health and loss metric aligned with targets defined
Liaise with business heads to drive risk management plans and negotiate for optimal balance between enterprise risk and business growth
Risk assessment
Monitor and review portfolio trends and assess various parameters (e.g., loss metrics delinquency ratios bounce rates etc.) to ensure adherence to risk quality and targets
Develop new product risk policies / changes to policies periodically to enable growth of business with a healthy portfolio
Risk mitigation
Create scorecard to monitor enterprise risk parameters on a periodic basis identify trends and plan mitigation actions by changing/ adding policy
Publish risk data on a periodic basis to shareholders business senior management to ensure timely corrective actions are taken for the business – provide input to management on loss making segments bottom performing portfolio
Monitor adherence to risk policies/ processes in the business and plan corrective actions as needed
Plan regular audit of rules to ensure adequate business control and put to minimize risk
 
Process improvement
·         Develop new processes to reduce the risk and achieve more velocity in the business by bringing market intelligence and adopting best practices
·         Plan projects by leveraging analytics technology databases to build automated and rule-based decision making in operations with a view to minimize risk in business transactions and improve predictability of risk
·         Liaison with business heads to implement process changes which mitigate risk and work with them to champion the change within their team.
 
Stakeholders:
Effectively manage stakeholder relationships across stakeholders and board committee
 
Ideal Experience
·         We look for an experienced risk management leader with 15+ y ears of demonstrable experience in multi-stakeholder environments, incl. exposure to C-level, board level audiences and matrix structures
·         The suitable candidate should have prior experience of leading enterprise risk in financial services, preferably in fintech, payments or other regulated industries; at the same you understand the expectations of working in an entrepreneurial environment
·         You clearly understand risk from multiple angles: from financial to non-financial risk, from operational to technology risk, from security, to privacy to compliance and financial crime related risks
·         You should have a passion for the role and have a credible ambition to enable a successful journey for PayU by providing senior management and the board with assurance and advice on the adequacy of the business' control activities; you partner effectively with business and control functions across the organization
