PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE                                                                      
The Financial Lead role is a vital role within the business it will support the business from a financial aspect, working along side the Business leaders to ensure proper financial compliance and analysis to drive business performance.
Working with the various teams within the organization to support from with financial tasks, example: working with the commercial team on reviewing merchant performance, analysing the data and advising.
The Financial Lead will work closely with the Global Team and ensure the accuracy of the Africa region’s data.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES
- Analyse business data and support business leaders with financial strategy
- Provide corrective action on the financial data
- Managing all financial business aspects as a Finance business partner
- Manage bank relationships
- Stakeholder management – internal and external
- Develops and report on the cost drivers, KPIs and benchmarks of the business
- Be the link between business and finance
- Support with drafting of business cases and financial modelling
- Manage audits
- Assess business performance against budget/forecast and guide business in implementing relevant actions and initiatives
- Oversight -of merchant treasury
- There will also be adhoc tasks

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE                                                                                                
Entry-level Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in a financial lead role or similar role
- Recommended qualification: CIMA, CA (SA) or any similar qualification
- Previous experience in the e-Commerce industry or Banking industry
 
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES                                                                                    
 
-Analytical and Logical problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to analyse financial data and generate reports
