Wibmo is an US-based leading provider of eCommerce authentication and cashless payment solutions to banks and consumers in emerging markets including India. The company based in Cupertino, CA and Bengaluru India, processes billions of transactions and delivers high availability digital payment services to banks, merchants, and consumers.
With services in over 20 countries and recently acquired by PayU, the fintech-arm of Prosus, we are passionate about delivering state-of-art digital payment solutions around the world. With a focus on global growth, we are seeking a strong industry leader to expand its payment security product suite, one of the largest providers of payment authentication services in the world and its services include products and services that handle digital transaction authentication, fraud monitoring, transaction risk assessment and related services.
PayU, an online payment service provider and Naspers' fintech arm, acquired Wibmo in Apr 2019 to help the company scale-up its business. Under the agreement, PayU and Wibmo businesses will continue to run separately.
The role is of a Engineering Manager who is motivated to build and lead one or more high performing scrum teams and also actively contribute to the architecture and design of new features. The role demands to lead, motivate, mentor and provide ample guidance to the other team members with respect to technical challenges. The role is also expected to make a difference to the product in terms of the innovative thoughts, best designs and contribute towards identifying technical risks and find alternate solutions to various problems.
•Manage a high performing team of 10-12 people and own the accountability of complete E2E delivery
•Drive design, development, implementation and documentation
•Should be good in stakeholder and program management
•Establish best engineering practices and operation excellence backed up with product, engineering and scrum metrics
•Interact with cross functional teams across organization to leverage expertise and contribute to the organization goals.
•Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
•Drive the success of the implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
•Work with senior leadership to deliver the future roadmap of the products
•Participate in hiring and build teams enabling them to be high performing agile teams.
•Interact closely for requirements with Business owners and technical teams both within India and across the globe.
•BE / B. Tech or ME/ M. Tech degree in Computer Science with minimum 12+ years’ experience
•Have led a team of 10-12 people and owned the accountability of complete E2E delivery
•Extensive experience building services using these technologies (Java, Spring boot, Microservices)
•Hands-on experience in web technologies like React/Angular, Java script, CSS
•Should have good background of different processes required for maintain quality, best engineering practices, CICD etc.
•Excellent in Engineering excellence – code quality, performance tuning, operational excellence etc.
•Should be good in stakeholder and program management
•Well versed in understanding and handling Non Functional requirements (NFR’s)
•Well versed on Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
•In depth knowledge on Restful/SOAP web services
•Knowledge on unit testing frameworks (Junit, Jest etc) and code quality control platforms like Sonar
•Experience in CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins other DevOps tools
•Demonstrated end-to-end ownership for development and design of least one large scale application
•Working knowledge of NoSQL database technologies, preferably Couchbase database.
•Have strong experience in building and managing a high performing team
•Experience in running the cloud distributed system in production at least for 2-3 years preferable
•Experience in creating performing, highly scalable and distributed applications, preferably using event-driven architecture in Cloud like Azure/AWS
Bonus point if you have:
● Experience in the Fintech domain and/ or B2C product experience
● An engineering degree in Computer Science (or) software development experience
● Worked on products with a massive user scale - 1 Mn+ DAUs especially
