We are going to do this through 3 mechanisms: build, co-build/partner; select strategic investments. 
 
PayU supports over 350,000+ merchants and millions of consumers making payments online with over 250 payment methods and 1,800+ payment specialists. The markets in which PayU operates represent a potential consumer base of nearly 2.3 billion people and a huge growth potential for merchants. 

Job responsibilities:
Own the vision and execution for the infrastructure for a PayU’s fast growing mission critical Data-as-a-Service Platform
Managing day to day operation and security of the data platform, with a focus developing and maintaining high-volume, low-latency data platform infrastructure especially for but not limited to consumption in machine learning applications
Technical leadership for a team of 3 to 5 engineers
Ensure top-notch performance of data platform systems for customer-facing ML-based applications using latest opensource frameworks, highly available RESTful services, and back-end Cloud based/open source systems 
Manage execution of work while balancing priorities in coordination with the team leadership
Drive automation of application deployment for production environments
Identify areas for process and efficiency improvement within platform operations
Define and document standard operating procedures.  Create and maintain system information and architecture diagrams
Provide ongoing, transparent communication with a focus on expectations fostering trust with internal stakeholders and external partners
Create a long-term platform vision based on the latest technical landscape
Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
Requirements to be successful in this role: 
B. Tech / BE /MEng/MSc/PhD degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent from Premier/Tier1 institutes
5+ year’s experience with developing scalable architectures using API management, microservice frameworks, PaaS and container orchestration systems like Kubernetes
Experience with cloud-native software development methodologies, tools for application development/deployment stages including CI/CD
4-8 years of hands-on experience with relevant most of the following technologies:
Core Programming: Spark, Python/Java
SQL
NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra/Redis etc)
Microservices with Springboot/Spring
Cloud Computing (Any of AWS/Azure/GCP)
Monitoring/Logging frameworks (ELK, Grafana)
Scalable Compute solutions (Kafka, Snowflake)
Workflow management libraries and tools (Airflow/AWS Step Function)
API integrations with third party APIs (Django/Flask/Falcon/web2py, etc)
Container orchestration systems like Kubernetes
Code-as-Infrastructure/Pipeline-as-Code (Terraform/Chef/Ansible/Jenkins)
Ability to learn and work with emerging technologies, and solutions in Cloud/Open Source frameworks
Good understanding and functional experience in Big Data Engineering: Data Warehousing, ingestion pipelines, data migration, QC. This is P3.
Good understanding and functional experience in Big Data Engineering practices: Data Warehousing, ingestion pipelines, ELT, data migration, QC
Experience in architecting large scale PaaS with ML as the engine. ML Ops, ML Engineering, production deployment of ML models with Batch/Real Time consumption patterns
Good to have Functional knowledge of machine learning tool & techniques
Tech lead who can lead a team of 3 to 4 platform/software engineers.
People/team management experience is a big plus

Bonus point if you have: 
Experience in the Fintech domain and/ or B2C product experience 
An engineering degree in Computer Science (or) software development experience 
Worked on products with a massive user scale - 1 Mn+ DAUs especially
