The Country Manager holds a pivotal role in the overseeing of the Commercial Function and the delivery of sales goals.

The Country Manager will be part of the core management team driving the global goals across the organization as well.

What you’ll be doing:
Commercial Success:
- Developing and executing strategic plans to meet sales targets
· Monitoring and negotiating COPS rates for in-country banks, APMs and acquirers
· Provide strategic and competitive pricing guidance within commercial frameworks
· Monitoring and managing all sales activities within the country using Salesforce and ensure its accuracy and completeness.
· Managing merchant portfolio, develop and upsell
· Leading the local commercial function to generate a robust sales pipeline
· Collaborating with global and regional sales units to onboard global and enterprise-level merchants
· Analyzing and enhancing sales efficiency and productivity
· Develop and refine customer satisfaction strategies
· Motivating and nurturing the local sales team for optimal performance

Strategic Leadership:
- Facilitating cross functional collaboration and breaking down silos within the organization
· Ensuring alignment of local management with organizational goals
· Investing in the development and management of talent within the country
· Possessing a deep understanding of local market complexities and sharing insights with broader organization
· Being a representative of PayU GPO in local payment bodies
· Representing PayU GPO in the press and during events / conferences
· Negotiating with payment organizations
· Promoting and fostering One PayU culture

Product and Engineering Management
· Providing strategic input into the product roadmap based on regional market requirements

Operational excellence:
- Ensuring alignment between the commercial function and other functions to maximize operational efficiency
· Maintaining risk appetite and exposure as per company guidelines
- Working closely with merchant risk team to drive efficient and timely onboarding
· Identifying and addressing any process gaps and inefficiencies and support corrective actions

Finance Management:
· Responsibility for full country financial results
· Working closely with commercial finance team to ensure pricing of products are accurate and updated
· Tracking sales achievements weekly and quarterly

What are we looking for?

    • 7+ years of sales experience, ideally in similar B2B environment,
    • 5+ years of experience of leading cross functional team, ideally as a country or side lead,
    • 5+ years of experience in payments, banking or financial domain,
    • eCommerce payments / ecommerce payment processing experience,
    • MBA or Master degree in management, finance or similar field,
    • Experience in partnership lead and account management,
    • Experience in working within global, cross functional organization,
    • Experience in budget management, forecasting, pricing, account profitability review,
    • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast paced environment with the multiple competing priorities,
    • Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with all internal and external teams including sales, business development, marketing, and product management,
    • Ability to drive decisions, take action, and roll up your sleeves and dive into the work,
    • Superb articulation, communications, and overall leadership capabilities,
    • Effective and professional team communication,
    • Team player with the ability to contribute to the strong team culture of our diverse group.
