The purpose of this role is to use data analysis to identify business areas that can be improved to increase efficiency and strengthen business processes. Responsibilities include creating dashboards, reviewing company performance, presenting findings in front of CFO / CEOs, and collaborating with the Business Intelligence team. The role also involves working on projects with the Pricing and Market Leads, performing ad-hoc analysis, and providing insights to the management team. The goal is to improve data analytics, deliver regular reports with high-quality data, and ensure a unified approach to performance management.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES
· Analyze data to identify business areas that can be improved to increase efficiency and strengthen business processes
· Track performance and provide comments to the management team
· Create dashboards/models/process to review company performance, present findings and give recommendations
· Using SQL and Excel to analyze large data sets
· Understanding business strategies, goals, and requirements
· Plan enterprise architecture (the structure of a business)
· Forecast, budgeting, and perform both variance analysis and financial analysis
· Ensure the right definitions & one approach to data collection across organization
· Work with Pricing & Marketing Lead on projects when large data sets are required
· Support the EMEA leadership & other functions (Pricing, Strategy, PMO, PR, Compliance) with relevant insights and information from internal sources
· Improve effectiveness in data analytics
· Timely delivery of regular reports with focus on high quality of data
· Ensure correct data delivery on management requests and in-line with key business processes
· Draw insights and make actionable recommendations that reflect the business need and context based on findings from data analysis
· Guard and protect the organization's data, making sure that the data repositories produce consistent, reusable data in cooperation with BI
· Create resources and help with the roll out of projects to other EMEA markets
· Understand data context and business objectives
· Support identification of strategies to improve Net Revenue and Sales results
· Question existing assumptions and processes
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Entry-level Requirements
· 3+ years of experience in a reporting & analytics function, banking or management consulting
· Experience working with big data sets
· Expertise in data mining, statistical analysis and descriptive analytics
· Ability to leverage various data sources (external and internal) to do deep dive analyses and paint a holistic picture
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
· Strong quantitative skills
· Excellent knowledge of MS Office
· At least basic knowledge of SQL and VBA
· Must be a team player, be energetic and able to collaborate with team members and vendors
· Be proactive and exhibit enthusiasm to continually learn
· “Can do” attitude aimed at discovering problems and comprehend situations that can compound them
· Fluent in statistical analysis and data mining (experience in different mining techniques)
· Strong business acumen
