Be part of our PayU team we are looking for our next Software Engineer II who will use his strong technical leadership and solid understanding of modern software engineering to guide his team.
 
About the role
The Software Engineer II designs, develops, tests and documents systems and functionality providing support to applications and services
developed. The SE II is able to work independently, assuming ownership for the steps involved in the SDLC to produce and successfully deploy the developed product. For more complex work, this individual will rely on existing designs and seek guidance from more senior positions. The Software Engineer II should also be able to provide reasonable estimates for tasks. An SE is able to work in full stack development tasks and is knowledge on a variety of technologies. The SE II is capable of performing code reviews and detects business logic flaws and code quality issues..
 
What you¨ll do
Work closely with Creative, Business and different Technology teams to ensure quality and punctual software development.
Designs, develops, tests and documents systems and functionality.
Provides support to applications and services developed.
Debug or troubleshoot simple issues in existing software applications.
Provide feedback on policies and procedures when an opportunity for improvement exists.
What you’ll need to succeed
BS in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Between 2 and 4 years’ software development experience.
Work experience and  knowledge of at least one modern object oriented programming language (Java, Scala etc).
Work experience with data storage patterns and practices, namely relational (SQL) and/or non-relational (NoSQL, MongoDB) platforms.
Work experience integrating web solutions with external web services.
Capable of designing and writing unit tests, integration tests, automate user/acceptance tests.
English Level B1 or higher.
