Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Engineer / Solutions Architect to design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance software solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Java-based technologies, system architecture, and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, implement, and maintain architecture standards while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities & Key Activities:
- Design and creation of new applications/services
- Maintenance of existing applications/services
- Participating in DevOps cycles to support business needs
- Testing automation using PayU's automation framework
- Collaborating with international teams to deliver strategic initiatives.
- Participate in projects that enhance the platform's reliability and stability.
- Improve the developer experience to enable the creation of more robust code.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify, resolve technical issues, and make decisive decisions.
- Uphold and enforce coding standards.
- Promote and oversee adherence to security best practices.
Qualification & Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Java development, with at least 3 years in a solutions architecture role.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Core, with additional experience in Node.js being a plus.
- Experience with microservices architecture, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS.
- Excellent knowledge of DynamoDB and MySQL.
- Strong experience in CI/CD pipelines, GitLab setup, and deployment automation.
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible or similar automation tools like Puppet.
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable solutions that align with business needs.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a collaborative mindset. Must be proficient in troubleshooting, training, mentoring, and providing technical leadership.
