Job Description
- We are seeking Software Test Engineer with 1-4 years of experience to ensure the reliability and performance of our software applications. The ideal candidate Should have a Sound technical background in API testing (Eg: Postman), SQL, and an understanding of performance testing.
- They should be familiar with Java or Python concepts, possess excellent defect reporting skills, and have a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for designing and writing test plans, and must have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- - Design, develop, and execute test cases.
- - Perform SQL queries to validate data integrity.
- - Assist in the design and implementation of performance testing strategies.
- - Write and maintain test scripts using Java or Python.
- - Report defects with precision and clarity, and track them to resolution.
- - Collaborate with development teams, Product teams to understand new and existing functionality.
- - Participate in the review of software requirements and design documents.
- - Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- - Stay updated with the latest API testing tools and technologies.
Qualifications
- - 1-3 years of experience in software testing, with exposure to API testing tools (Ex: Postman).
- - Proficiency in SQL for data validation.
- - Basic understanding of performance testing principles.
- - Familiarity with Java or Python programming languages.
- - Experience with defect tracking tools and software testing methodologies.
- - Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- - Ability to design and write comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- - Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
- - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering.
Additional Skills (Preferred but not required)
- - Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
