ABOUT THE ROLE:
 
 
The main purpose of this Role is to works to mitigate losses due to a borrower’s failure to make the repayment on payment credits, offered by PayU based on PSD license.
 
Needs also to assure the balance between expected credit product affordability & process conversion on payment credit with the risk appetite that translates into acceptable non performing loans rate / costs of risk and provisions for bad debts
 
To achieve the purpose EMEA Payment Credit Risk and Collection Manager will be working closely with Board Member responsible for Credit Risk as well as with key Business and Finance functions on developing payment credit business line as well as with the 3rd party credit risk and collection-related services providers.
 
EMEA Payment Credit Risk and Collection Manager will aim to support payment credit product effectiveness with the innovative approach to credit risk, underwriting tools (process automation, innovative scoring mechanism, behavioral data available internally or through 3rd parties, adjusted to: online channels, the purpose of the credit transactions, other means of risk mitigation).
 
The purpose of the position also includes the optimization of risk-weighted assets by proper set up of collection and recovery strategy that consists of effective legal, technical, operation, and financial tools, including claim assignment in partnership with the Finance team
 
What you’ll be doing:
  • Define, Agree, Develop, Implement, and maintain credit underwriting strategy for payment credit products.
  • Define, Agree, Develop, Implement, and maintain fraud prevention strategy.
  • Define, Agree, Develop, Implement, and maintain payment credit collection and recovery strategy.
  • Involve in all product development and product optimization projects in EMEA to lead risk and collection-related streams.
  • Analyze data (e.g. traditional and alternative bureau, behavioral & macroeconomic data) using statistical tools and analytical techniques to generate insights and optimize credit decision models, including the building of identifying risk segments and differentiating risk and collection/recovery strategies.
  • Search for innovative internal and external data sources or other tools to improve risk performance management.
  • Work directly with 3rd party suppliers of: scoring methodologies, user verification tools, data service, collection and recovery services.
  • Accept/ decline, process, product parameters.
  • Develop regular reporting to manage & optimize risk management and collection strategies and assure detection of early warning signals.
  • Build predictive models on risk to
  • Interact with FCA and internal audits in relation to the credit risk-related queries/ audits.
  • React on delinquency reports and adopt respective changes to decision and scoring models.
  • Manage the effectiveness of collection activities and adopt changes when needed to improve collection KPI’s.
  • Initiate, manage and control claim assignment processes internally and with 3rd. 
  • Develop analytical reports and presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Keep up to date on applicable regulations and compliance requirements with possible interactions with internal and external regulators.
  • Build awareness in the organization on the risk to the organization, its employees, customers, reputation, assets, and interest of stakeholder
 
What are we looking for?
 
Min 5 years of relevant work experience in online consumer credit risk management in EMEA region, preferably in sales finance.
