Regional Privacy Counsel for Poland, Czechia and Romania will be an integral part of the Global PayU privacy team with regular and close interaction and collaboration with the members of the privacy team around the world. This is a role that can be performed from Warsaw or Poznan office, and it is required to be at least 2 days/week in the office.

Responsibilities and Key Activities:
·       Working in a global network of privacy specialists to drive the PayU global privacy program in Poland, Czechia, Romania and other European countries, as necessary. You will also have an opportunity to engage in global privacy initiatives.
·       Maintaining close relationship with business stakeholders, including, but not limited to product, engineering, marketing and HR, and supporting them in identification and mitigation of privacy risks.
·       Providing privacy compliance support in the region, including relevant contracting, assisting with deployment of policies and guidelines, conducting trainings, supporting for the exercise of the data subjects’ rights and performing privacy assessments for the relevant business teams regarding the development of new products and services in the Fintech space.
·       Driving compliance with EU and local regulatory changes in the field of privacy to keep the organization updated with anu relevant law and recommendations.
·       Managing privacy incidents and interfacing with local data protection authorities.

Qualifications and Experience:
·       A law degree and at least 3 years of professional experience in data protection in a law firm or in-house (financial, payments, lending, ecommerce preferred),
·       Excellent written and verbal communication in English, Native Polish
·       CIPP certification would be an advantage,
·       Great interpersonal skills, with a solution orientated “can-do” attitude,
·       Enjoying a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities, and learning on the job
