ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director of Engineering role is a dynamic and crucial position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership skills. This role is instrumental in driving the success of the engineering and contributing to the overall Ovoko goals. IN THIS ROLE
- Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for the engineering within a product area (value stream) that aligns with the overall Ovoko goals and objectives;
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the product engineering teams to support product and organizational growth;
- Work closely with other senior leaders across the organization to ensure alignment and collaboration on product development and delivery;
- Set performance goals and metrics for teams within the product area, that are aligned with the overall objectives of Ovoko;
- Identify opportunities for teams development, address capability gaps, and provide guidance to help teams reach their full potential;
- Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the successful delivery of projects and overall product development;
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development to drive innovation and technology adoption within the engineering team.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Significant experience in software engineering with a strong focus on leadership responsibilities;
- Strong strategic leadership skills with a track record of driving innovation and organizational growth;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership;
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks while driving continuous improvement and high-performance culture within the engineering team;
- Proven track record of successfully aligning engineering initiatives with business goals and driving successful project delivery.
SALARY
The offered salary range for this position starts from 8000€ (gross) per month. Please keep in mind that we are also open to discuss your salary expectations based on your competencies and experience.
