ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Lead/Senior Test Automation Engineer at Ovoko, you'll join a engineering team with a focus to improve test automation at the organisational level in order to improve product team delivery quality & speed. Your role encompasses developing and implementing test automation strategy, creating testing frameworks, writing & reviewing complex automated tests, preparing all required infrastructure and mentoring our QA Engineers. Our dedicated QA Lead will support you, and together, you will collaborate on crafting company wide test strategy. We are seeking a senior-lead candidate with experience in developing test automation strategies for web applications and managing stakeholders expectations.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
- Create company wide automation strategy (including end-to-end, integration, and unit testing);
- Help to implement automation strategy in each team, including all required alignments, trainings, preparations;
- Develop advanced automated testing frameworks (UI, API, Performance) and monitoring systems;
- Create utilities for the framework;
- Design tools for manual/automation needs;
- Prepare automation projects for the product teams;
- Work with DevOps and product teams to prepare all required infrastructure and integrate test automation with build systems;
- Review automated tests;
- Develop complex automated tests;
- Mentor QA Engineers;
- Develop metric tools.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in Test or Test Automation Engineer;
- Experience in developing automation strategy and implementing them;
- Experience working with CI/CD processes and tools (Gitlab preferred);
- Experience in scripting languages and hands-on experience in Javascript, TypeScript or NodeJS;
- Experience in testing web applications;
- Solid knowledge of testing methodologies;
- Proactive, self-driven, self-motivated;
- Strategic thinking and ability to see the bigger picture of the whole product from a business perspective and processes;
- Great communication, including written and spoken English.
SALARY
The offered salary range for this position is from 6000 € (gross) per month. Please keep in mind that we are also open to discuss your salary expectations based on your competencies and experience.
