ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Business Development Manager will take charge of our supplier acquisition in Greece. In this role, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for qualifying, pitching, closing, and onboarding used car parts sellers that are a good fit for Ovoko. It's crucial not only to bring them on board but also to ensure they become well-informed and fully functional partners. The Business Development Manager will be one of the first team members on the ground and will play an important role in making the market a success.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

    • Acquire new supply partners for Ovoko (B2B sales)
    • Be responsible for the full sales cycle: from lead qualification to closing and activation
    • Travel frequently throughout your region (field sales)
    • Partner with the Area Management team to ensure a seamless transition of support
    • Work closely with the supplier support team to minimize defect rates
    • Identify the right tools to acquire high-quality supply at optimal costs (essentially mini P&L ownership)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    • 5+ years of experience (preferably in sales, business development, etc.)
    • A hustler who gets things done and helps build Ovoko
    • A “hunter” who enjoys pursuing new leads and closing deals
    • A digital native with a basic understanding of software/database integration
    • Open-mindedness and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments
    • A startup (all-hands-on-deck) approach
    • Previous experience in the car parts industry is a big plus
    • Previous experience in B2B field sales and/or marketplace start-ups is a big plus
    • Fluent Greek and proficient in English
