Data Analyst - Payments
ABOUT THE ROLE
Fuelled by a recent $20M Series B funding round and consistent triple-digit year-over-year growth, Ovoko is continuing to scale its Data & Analytics function. Over the past year, our Data Org has focused on building strong foundations - modernising data architecture, tooling, and ways of working. Now, the focus is shifting towards driving real business impact through data.
We're looking for a Data Analyst to join our Post Purchase Analytics squad to support our growing Payments product team, where you'll help shape products and processes around payments, transactions, and financial operations. One of the key initiatives you'll support is the launch and evolution of Ovoko Wallet - our upcoming internal wallet solution - while also partnering with teams working on tax analytics, financial reporting, and transaction-related decision making.
You'll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Data Engineers, Finance, and other business stakeholders to turn complex transactional data into actionable insights, define success metrics, and support strategic product decisions.
If you're excited by solving analytical challenges in a fast-moving product environment and enjoy working with high-volume transactional data, we'd love to meet you.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
-
Define KPIs, identify business opportunities, and estimate their impact using data.
-
Support the development and launch of Ovoko Wallet, by providing insights and analytical recommendations.
-
Analyze payment, transaction, and financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
-
Design and analyze experiments (A/B tests) to evaluate product changes.
-
Build dashboards, datasets, and analytical models that support both Product and Finance teams.
-
Work with modern tooling such as Snowflake, Looker, Mixpanel, and explore opportunities in the evolving AI landscape.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
-
Experience working with SQL and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
-
Ability to translate data into clear insights and business recommendations.
-
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
-
Good data visualization and storytelling skills.
-
Business-driven mindset.
-
Good communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders.
-
Fluent English.
-
Experience working with transactional, payments, fintech, marketplace, or other financial data.
-
Exposure to financial products, payment systems, reconciliation, or tax-related analytics.
-
Familiarity with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel or Amplitude.
