WHO WE ARE
Ovoko is transforming Europe’s €30B+ used car parts market - a massive, fragmented industry still largely offline. We connect 6,000+ scrapyard owners, car parts sellers and dismantlers with millions of buyers through our marketplace, SaaS and logistics platform, making it effortless to trade parts across borders. With over 35 million parts listed, we’ve grown into one of Europe’s fastest-scaling e-commerce companies, but the real opportunity lies ahead, as we build a real category-defining platform worldwide.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Ovoko ships 270,000+ items per month across 25+ European countries. Every one of those shipments involves a carrier, a route, a cost, and a margin decision. Today, much of this runs on static contracts and manual logic. Carrier costs vary wildly by route, weight, dimensions, and season - but our systems don't always pick the smartest option. We know we're overpaying on some corridors, under-utilizing cheaper carriers on others, and missing logistics solutions that could unlock entirely new cost structures. That's where the Shipping Product team comes in.
As a Product Manager for Shipping Product, you will be responsible for building the technical product layer that sits between our marketplace and the logistics network.
Your focus areas:
- Cost prediction and forecasting - building models that accurately predict what a shipment will cost before it happens, so we can price, plan, and steer smarter.
- Volume steering - designing the logic that routes shipments toward the most cost-efficient carriers and corridors across our full network.
- New logistics solutions - exploring and piloting multi-mile shipping architectures, consolidation strategies, and hybrid carrier models that go beyond today's direct point-to-point approach.
- Shipping economics - monitoring carrier costs, margin by route, forecast accuracy, and flagging anomalies before they become expensive problems.
This is not a feature PM role. This is an infrastructure and cost optimization role where your decisions directly impact gross margin at scale.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
- Own the roadmap: You will fully own the outcomes of the product(s) that you and your team are working on. We’ll agree on how the success looks like and it will be totally up to you to figure out how to make that happen.
- Execute: Work hands-on with Engineers, Operations, Data Analysts and Shipping Partner Managers to deliver high-quality features on time.
- Own the cost gap: Identify structural inefficiencies in what we pay carriers vs. what we could be paying with better tooling, smarter routing, and new logistics solutions. Then build the products to close that gap.
- Pioneer new logistics infrastructure: Identify where today's point-to-point model is limiting us. Design and pilot new solutions, consolidation strategies, and hybrid approaches that unlock routes and cost structures we can't reach today.
- Act as the bridge: Align internal teams (Engineering, Sales, Support, Sales, Shipping Partner Managers and Data).
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner, ideally in logistics, supply chain, fulfillment, shipping, or cost optimization. Hands-on experience with physical goods operations is a strong advantage.
- Experience building technical or internal products - cost engines, routing logic, forecasting systems, or operational tools where the users are internal teams rather than end consumers.
- Demonstrated experience with cost optimization at scale, where small per-item improvements compound into significant savings at volume.Structured problem solver who can decompose a multi-variable optimization problem into clear, actionable steps without waiting for perfect data.
- Strong technical insight - you are able to discuss APIs, integrations, and backend logic with engineers.
- Data-driven mindset, comfortable with operational and customer-facing metrics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence without authority.

The offered salary for this position starts at 5000 (gross) per month. Please keep in mind that we are also open to discuss your salary expectations based on your competencies and experience.
