Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring and improving the quality of products and processes in accordance with standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
Optotune is growing, internationally active optics company with offices in Switzerland and Slovakia. We design, manufacture, and market cutting-edge adaptive optical elements for both industrial and consumer applications.
Tasks
- Responsibility for In-Process Quality (IPQC) and Outgoing Quality (OQC) of assigned projects
- Blocking, releasing of nonconforming material in SAP and Blocked stock
- Creating and reviewing instructions and regulations on Incoming Material QC (IQC)
- Collaborating with Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) on material non-conformances
- Resolving customer complaints (RMA), report preparation and internal/external communication
- Continuous quality improvement in production
- Implementing changes and adjusting processes from a quality perspective
- Creation and approval of quality standards
- Conduct/participate in internal audits
- Participating in new projects
- Preparing documents and reporting to supervisor
- Training of operators in the field of quality
- Performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor, which are in accordance with the relevant legal regulations and in line with the employee’s job position and job description
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a comparable role
- Strong knowledge of quality standards, including hands-on experience with ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or related frameworks
- Proficiency in quality tools, such as FMEA, SPC, CAPA, 8D reports, control plans, and similar methodologies
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present analyses, results, and improvement proposals across different levels of the organization
- English proficiency at a minimum B2 level, enabling effective communication in an international environment
