When you’re selling scientific technology that can change millions of lives, it’s critical that our customers, who are respected scientists in academia and Pharma, get the full benefits of our products  through the support of our Field Application Scientists (FAS). Our FAS’s are microscopy experts that can help scientists understand how microscopy, particularly super resolution microscopy could help further their research. By understanding our customer’s scientific goals, you’ll guide or design experiments that can demonstrate how our technology platform can help them.

You’re a scientist at heart, qualified as such with a PhD in either biology, biochemistry, physics or maths with a key focus on life sciences. You’ve had extensive hands-on experience with fluorescence microscopy  imaging and knowledge of super resolution imaging. You’re excited by science, you’re driven by your own curiosity to know more and help people. Ideally,  you’ve already demonstrated technical solutions to a scientific audience. Being part of a larger commercial sales team, you’ll assist by applying your technical expertise to help drive scientific conversations and build a long term relation with our customers current and future.

To be successful you’ll have spent time in the lab, you like designing imaging experiments, preparing samples and understanding how to optimise experiments. You enjoy being behind a immunofluorescence microscope. You may have experience using super resolution imaging techniques, such as STORM, PALM, SIM and smFRET, but don’t worry if you don’t have them all, we can help there! You’re comfortable presenting scientific data and like taking scientists on a discovery journey.

The role is based around the Boston area but you’ll certainly build up your hotel points and airmiles as you travel around the US, with up to 50% of your time travelling to customer sites for visits or demos.
