As a Senior Research Associate at ONI, you will be responsible for supporting the development of kits, chemical or biophysical tools for super resolution microscopy, leading to product launches that enable users to visualize and analyze biological systems on the Nanoimager platform.
Your Role at ONI:
- Conduct hands-on lab work to support development of products and workflows for the Nanoimager
- Review and test designed protocols or reagents preparation to be launched as Bioware products
- Maintain research and development records, including database management, batch records, notebooks, and all other technical documentation
- Test and optimize new workflows or new reagents or consumables for sample preparation and image acquisition protocols for use by internal & external customers
- Propose scientific and technical solutions for project obstacles to line manager
- Partner with project scientists to enable experimental designs in product development leading to successful commercialization of products
- Execute development, validation, and verification studies
- Support the transfer of R&D protocols and process to manufacturing
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 3 years commercial laboratory research and development experience, developing novel approaches to analysis of complex biological materials or novel organic structures synthesis and analysis
- Familiarity with Microscopy or other analytical or bioanalytical techniques
- Collected, analyzed, interpreted, and presented data in a rigorous peer reviewed environment, in a multidisciplinary life science company
- Worked with diverse human biological samples or synthesized and analyzed organic molecules
- Sample preparation and handling
- Experience with basic cell culture techniques (immortalized cell lines, etc)
- Lab skills in at least 2 of the following: Biochemistry/protein sciences, Microscopy, Cell/subcellular system assays, Biological chemistry/organic synthesis
- Data acquisition, data analysis, and complex multicomponent experimental design
- Reliable hands-on laboratory skills
- Accurate presentation of research findings
