The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and secure global movement of inbound and outbound materials and products.


As a Senior Logistics Coordinator you will:

    • Facilitate the packing & shipping of components, instruments and products to customer base and internal users using couriers
    • Achieve global on-time deliveries via effective planning and proactive communication with internal and external customers. First point of contact with external logistics providers’ queries.
    • Partner with Logistics Specialist in Oxford office, covering goods in and goods out, plus supporting warehouse management.
    • Daily use of ERP system (NetSuite) to ensure shipping schedule is up to date and aligned with warehouse stock levels
    • Liaise with Commercial and Operations team to ensure timely order fulfilment
    • Prepare shipping and customs documentation in USA, EMEA, and APAC, escalating to Logistics Specialist if unclear
    • Manage temporary importation licences on a shipment-by-shipment basis for both internal and external customers
    • Receive and file delivery notes and inspect incoming goods for transit condition
    • Continuous improvement - proactive approach to process optimisation, cost reduction and delivery of feedback
    • Work with Operations managers to produce monthly KPI reporting dashboards

Essential skills and Qualifications:

    • Customs clearance processes and temporary imports globally
    • Used an ERP system for warehouse management and fulfilment activities (Netsuite or similar)
    • Raised purchase orders, sales orders and resolved invoice queries
    • Knowledge of HS codes and creation of export/import shipping and customs documentation
    • Proven experience working to tight deadlines. Specifically requiring proactive communication to Sales and Technical departments to complete delivery on time.
    • No formal certifications required if candidate can demonstrate experience described in Key Responsibilities & essential experience

Desired skills and Qualifications:

    • Worked in a start-up environment
    • Experience in a Biotech company
    • Knowledge of HS codes surrounding hi-tech instrumentation and chemical components
    • Hazardous material handling certified
