Note before applying: This is a remote position, you can work from anywhere in Poland. Currently, we are not considering candidates not physically based in Poland. You can choose between Poznan and Warsaw offices if you prefer working from the office.
We seek a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our talented team. As a key member of our technology division, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the productivity of software developers and engineers within our organization. You will collaborate with development teams to identify areas for improvement and then implement those changes. This may involve developing new tools and processes or refining existing ones.
Technical skills and tools you should have for this role:
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in your development environment (e.g., Java, Kotlin)
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git, including branching strategies and workflows
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python)
- Development Workflow Optimization
- Experience in setting up and maintaining development environments, including containerization tools like Docker and orchestration systems like Kubernetes
- Best practices and tools of Monitoring and ObservabilityExperience with logging systems, application performance monitoring (APM), and alerting mechanisms
- Excellent knowledge and experience across the Testing Pyramid
- Ability to efficiently work with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and pain points in the development process
What you should know in terms of metrics and measurement:
- Understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) for developer productivity and how to measure them
- Best practices and tools of Security and Compliance
- Scalability and InfrastructureUnderstanding of how to scale developer tools and infrastructure to support growing teams and codebases
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible
Your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Reduce build times and improve feedback loops for developers
- Automate repetitive tasks and streamline development processes
- Develop strategies for improving test coverage and reliability
- Advocate for and implement best practices in code quality, review processes, and documentation
- Educate and support developers on productivity tools and practices
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and tools, and assess how they can be leveraged to enhance productivity
- Ensure that productivity tools and practices comply with regulatory and company policies
