We are looking for a Junior Frontend Engineer to join the OLX Technology team. This role can be based anywhere in Poland.
About the job:
As an engineer at OLX, you will collaborate extensively with fellow engineers, SREs, product managers, data analysts, and an engineering manager to develop robust, scalable, and user-friendly web applications. Primarily using TypeScript-based React, your role will involve crafting high-quality, maintainable code that powers our next-generation interfaces.
Technologies You’ll Work With:
React & TypeScript: Develop features using the latest React standards, employing TypeScript to enhance code reliability and maintenance.
Emotion Styled Components: Use Emotion to craft compelling and responsive UIs.
Storybook & Nexus: Utilize Storybook alongside our in-house design system, Nexus, to build and test isolated UI components effectively.
Testing Suite: Write robust unit and integration tests using Jest and React Testing Library, with end-to-end tests implemented in Cypress (transitioning to Playwright).
GraphQL: Opportunities to work with GraphQL as it is integrated into our projects, offering a chance to shape its adoption.
Server-Side Rendering (SSR) & Micro-frontends: Employ SSR techniques and micro-frontend architecture to optimize performance and scalability of our applications.
GitLab Pipelines & AWS: Utilize GitLab pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes, and deploy applications on AWS to ensure scalability and high availability.

Have experience with JavaScript/NodeJS (extra points if you work with TypeScript too!).Experience with ReactJS, its standards and ecosystem.

Eager to learn new things.
Your responsibilities will include:
Contribute technically to projects from planning to execution, ensuring successful delivery of complex technical projects.
Be part of a team and establish credibility with the quality of your own and your team’s technical execution.
Encourage innovation within the team to invent and implement sophisticated software solutions.
Ask questions, brainstorm and own the product we are building.
Work closely with the product management team to ensure we’re building the best products for our users.
