This is an ideal opportunity for both experienced engineering managers and senior engineers who have demonstrated technical leadership, initiative, and a passion for people development—even if you have not held a formal management title before.

What you will be doing:

    • Lead by example and manage a team of mobile engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and career development support as we migrate to Flutter.
    • Champion the adoption of Flutter, custom SDK, and design systems across mobile teams.
    • Guide teams through migration from native to Flutter, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and performance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Backend, to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
    • Drive the end-to-end development process, from design to implementation and deployment, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions.
    • Identify and prioritize technical initiatives, considering ROI, scalability, and performance requirements.
    • Implement modern software development practices, including agile methodologies, continuous integration, and deployment, to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Represent the mobile engineering perspective in cross-team and leadership forums.
    • Align team objectives with OLX’s mobile-first and cross-platform strategy.

What you have:

    • We welcome applications from both experienced managers and senior engineers who have demonstrated leadership and impact in their teams.
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring peers, or driving cross-team projects (formal management experience is a plus, but not required).
    • Hands-on experience with mobile development (Flutter preferred, or strong willingness and ability to transition from native iOS/Android).
    • Proven ability to deliver complex projects, ideally including migrations or major technical transformations.
    • Experience designing and developing large-scale, high-traffic mobile applications.
    • Familiarity with design systems (e.g., Nexus), SDK integration, and scalable codebases.
    • Strong knowledge of mobile architecture, cross-platform development, and CI/CD best practices.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • For internal candidates: a history of high performance, collaboration, and initiative within OLX Group.
