JOIN OLX GENERATIVE AI ENGINEERING TEAM
We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our newly established Generative AI Services team. This dynamic group is dedicated to revolutionizing our products and services through the power of Generative AI. Our mission is to empower various product teams to seamlessly integrate advanced AI capabilities into their workflows, thereby significantly enhancing the overall customer experience.
About the job
As an engineer on our team, you'll be collaborating closely with colleague engineers and SREs, the product team, data scientists, and an engineering manager while helping other teams to build a variety of products using our GenAI platform. Our systems are built with Python, Kotlin, or Golang and they run on AWS. Mobile Applications are written on Kotlin, and Swift, and the new trend is to use Flutter as the main framework for the mobile application.
You Will:
- Take part in the planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects.
- Serve as the primary entry point for all back-end-related tasks for the team.
- Be prepared to contribute to mobile applications written in Flutter and other front-end tasks.
- Be an integral part of the team and establish credibility through your own quality and your team’s technical execution.
- Encourage the team to innovate, invent, implement, and deploy complex software solutions.
- Ask questions, brainstorm, and take ownership of the product we are building.
- Work closely with the product management team to ensure we’re building the best products for our users
You Have:
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development with Python, Kotlin, or Go
- Professional experience working with Flutter or any other modern cross-platform framework is a big plus
- Experience with logging systems, application performance monitoring (APM), and alerting mechanisms
- Experience in setting up and maintaining development environments, including containerization tools like Docker and orchestration systems like Kubernetes
- The ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
- Experience in architecting Cloud Native solutions; AWS experience
- Experience working in multi-functional teams
- A belief in self-aligned teams and the "you build it, you run it" philosophy
- Experience in building AI/ML-enabled products is a plus
