About the team
As part of Ad Inventory Management team your job is to make sellers experience with OLX frictionless.
As a frontend engineer in our team, you'll be collaborating closely with your peers including backend engineers, SRE, product team, data analysts and an engineering manager, that you will report into, while building and maintaining best tools to support Sellers Success.
Our systems are built mostly with Typescript and React, Emotion, using conventional commits, and many other goodies through GitLab pipelines, and they run on AWS.
What you will be doing:
- Contribute technically to projects and take part in the planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects.
- Be part of a team and establish credibility with the quality of your own and your team's technical execution.
- Encourage the team to improve, invent, implement and deploy complex software solutions.
- Be a mentor to more junior engineers in the team.
- Ask questions, brainstorm and lead the product we are building.
- Collaborate with the product management team to ensure we're building the best products for our users.
What we are looking for:
- Work well in multi-functional teams.
- Believe in self-aligned teams and "you build it, you run it" philosophy.
- Experience with architecting, building and scaling cloud-based systems, serving millions of users.
- Have experience with JavaScript/NodeJS (extra points if you work with TypeScript too!).
- Experience with ReactJS, its standards and ecosystem.
- Writes self-documented, legible and maintainable code.
- Experience with tests and Playwright.
- Not afraid to stir things up and contribute positively
- Curious and learns new things.
