Lead Marketing Analyst - Marketing Analytics

Together with the Marketing Technology team, Marketing Analytics is responsible for building the product, technology, and data foundations that enable local and central marketers to do their job efficiently. This is a fresh team put together to tackle the topic with 100% focus.

As the Lead Analyst, you will lead a team of Marketing Analysts. The mission starts with building the foundations of OLX Europe’s central marketing reporting and tracking mechanisms. This progresses towards extending the data foundation to help automate paid marketing efforts, and helping marketing make smarter spending choices to optimize for specific conversion types or ROI. Over time, this team is expected to help shape the central marketing strategy, as well as the product/tech strategy to innovate on our owned media and in-product marketing tools -- extending and building on our marketing communication automations capabilities, consolidating our content properties (such as blogs), and creating highly integrated capabilities for our marketers to use, to help us get full amplification of marketing initiatives.
You will be collaborating closely with other product functions such as User Communications (SMS/email/push), Core Web Experience, User-to-User Comms (chat/call) and Onboarding, Data Science, Data Engineering, and the business owners in Europe.

What you will be doing:

Shape the analytical foundations of central marketing reportingBuild and maintain our central marketing reporting stack with the help of the Marketing Technology teamDrive discussions and alignment around:How we define and measure acquisition/retention/engagementWhat advanced attribution models should we utilize and evolve into over timeCollaborate with other teams to enable them to implement strong go-to-market strategies for new capabilities being developed across the product, through marketing insights
Your Profile:

Experience in advanced marketing analytics and technology - ideally within an international set-up and at a high-traffic consumer Internet or e-commerce company
Advanced SQL skills, Python and R a strong plus.
Understanding of data products  (e.g. data pipelines, data warehouses, data viz). Experience with A/B testing from hypothesis formulation to assessment of the results and shaping learnings into recommendations
Data storytelling skills. 
Excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to turn data and numbers into meaningful stories, explaining the "why" behind the "what". 
Curiosity – initiative to dig into the why, what & how
You are experienced with modern marketing technologies (e.g. automated performance marketing optimization, advanced attribution, cross-channel optimization, incrementality testing, etc.)
You understand the underlying technologies and various analytical approaches that drive modern marketing and enable capabilities like:
-Traffic source tracking
- Basic and advanced attribution models
-User segmentation and advanced targeting
-Dynamic in-platform and off-platform owned media
You know the implications of scale and are able to build analytical stacks on top of massive data sources
Experience working with agile product development teams
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient English is required
