About the role:
In the Mobile App Platform team, we're on a mission to transform the way we build mobile apps at OLX. We aim to unify our mobile development efforts by creating shared code and libraries, and making our processes more efficient. Our goal is to set the highest standards for mobile development for all the apps in OLX.
As the Mobile App Platform Engineering Manager, you'll lead this initiative. You'll define and implement best practices, promote collaboration, and make sure our teams use common tools and libraries.

We value a Mobile Engineering Manager who has:
Passion and hands-on experience in architecting, building, and scaling mobile-based systems, serving a large user base
Worked well in multi-functional teams
Strong software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages
Knowledge of people management topics focused on developing and growing people. Not just on putting people on the path, but dealing with all sorts of situations
Experience with mobile development (iOS/Android), with Flutter or any other cross-platform development tool being a plus
Experience in platform teams and familiarity with the innersource model
Bonus Points:
Experience with Flutter and cross-platform mobile development
Previous experience in a platform team
Familiarity with the innersource model of collaboration
Strong background in CI/CD pipelines and mobile app store deployment
What you will be doing:
Lead a team of 8-10 mobile engineers and contribute to scaling our mobile platform to the next level of modularity & shareability while working on architecture, tools, standards, and practices for the engineering organization
Play a pivotal role in setting the cross-platform strategy for the company, influencing other teams migrating to cross-platform
Lead by example, care for your team, and establish credibility with the quality of your own and your team's technical execution
Encourage the team to innovate, invent, implement, and deploy complex mobile software solutions
Onboarding, mentoring, coaching, feedback, and career development of the engineering team
Ensure that the team is delivering with repeatable quality and predictability
Work closely with your product management and design partners to align technology solutions with the product vision
Hands-on expertise with app stores, CI/CD, and other automations
