About the role

As Head of Data and Strategy in our Motors Customer Unit (CU), you will work closely with OLX leadership (General Managers, Product, Technology leaders and Finance team) and define the best ways for business growth across our footprint, translating data insights into actionable plans.
You will manage a team of 16 people (Analysts and Data Scientists), and will be part of the Motors CU leadership team. 
OLX Motors serves over 10 million customers every month, across multiple platforms in Poland, Portugal and Romania (https://www.olxgroup.com/brands/).The role is based in Poland.

What you will be doing

Provide thought leadership in leveraging data and analytics for business decision making.
Co-own KPIs with stakeholders and drive actions through insights and recommendations.
Ideate, strategise and enable new products, features, policies and processes driving revenue and cost impactInterpret data and analyse results using statistical techniques and provide insights, recommendations and strategy related to EU Motors.
Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex and various datasets.
Leverage descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics as necessary in solving complex business problems.
Manage a team of advanced analytics; CVM specialists, besides strategic analytics you will lead the Product Analytics Team, driving best practices to enable Product teams to execute based on insights grounded in a deep understanding of our data.
Your team will be responsible to understand market trends, users insights and user behaviours to further develop our global platform experience to attract new users, help then be more successful in their buying and selling and improve OLX monetisation ability.
You will have close interaction with other departments such as commercial, marketing, customer support, sales and product managers.
You will work in a high pace environment (double digit growth) that is professional, international and entrepreneurial.
Dig deep into data to deliver insights and strategic recommendations to improve product experience.
Use existing tools, and suggest and evaluate new tools, to lead creation of most effective insights platform and environment.
Understand key behaviours that drive consumer acquisition, retention, and engagement to enable decision making about product strategy and features, marketing tools and campaigns.
Act as strategic partner to the product, technology, marketing, local markets  and executive teams to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions.
Drive key analytics projects including forecasting and testing, funnel optimisation, response and propensity modelling, advanced customer segmentation using advanced statistical techniques, marketing mix analytics, and other initiatives.
Lead identification of information needs, development of research and data analysis plans, management of the research process, and communication of actionable insights within aggressive timelines and changing business dynamics.
Lead, coach, and mentor team to develop and enhance analytics, insights, and communications skills, while remaining hands-on in the work that is being done.

Some key requirements

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have at least 10-12 years of experience related to driving business growth in the tech space (preferably eCommerce), working with data insights, developing long- and short-terms strategies, and identifying growth opportunities. 
Strong communication and influencing skills are also crucial, as you will work with multiple leaders and will need to facilitate alignment.
The role implies managing a big team, and it is important to have experience in people management and development.
