Note before applying: This is a remote position, you can work from anywhere in Poland. Currently, we are not considering candidates that are not physically based in Poland. If you prefer working from the office, you can choose between Poznan and Warsaw offices.
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a newly formed Generative AI (GenAI) team, aiming to boost our customers’ experiences significantly. We see a myriad of opportunities to apply GenAI to our products, in enhancing user-facing applications (e.g. assisting in making posting an advert easier and improving discoverability through search relevance), further improving safety for customers with more advanced moderation techniques, and improving internal operations such as customer support.
As an engineer in our team, you'll be collaborating closely with colleague engineers and SREs, the product team, data scientists and an engineering manager while building one of the newest distributed systems we have in the company. Our systems are built with Python, Kotlin or Golang and they run on AWS.
We value engineers who have:
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development with Python or Kotlin/Java; PHP is a plus
- Passion for architecting, building, and scaling cloud-based systems, serving millions of users
- Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
- Experience in architecting Cloud Native solutions, AWS is a plus
- Worked in multi-functional teams
- Believe in self-aligned teams and "you build it, you run it" philosophy
- Experience in building AI/ML-enabled products is a plus
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Your responsibilities will include:
- Contribute technically to projects and take part in the planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects
- Be part of a team and establish credibility with the quality of your own and your team’s technical execution
- Encourage the team to innovate, invent, implement, and deploy complex software solutions
- Ask questions, brainstorm, and own the product we are building
- Work closely with the product management team to ensure we’re building the best products for our users

- Base salary between 17 000 - 20 500 PLN gross and an annual bonus: 15%
