As a part of the Ecosystem pillar, you will be involved in designing our mobile app user experience and working closely with strategic partners in technology and product teams, bringing to life our key initiatives. The position is located in Poland, and applicants need to be able to work and reside in Poland, ideally close to one of our hubs: Poznan and Warsaw.

What's the opportunity

We're looking for an experienced designer to join our Mobile App Platform team at OLX Group. You will help design, scale, and maintain the mobile experience for products in our group. You will collaborate with product people, engineers, designers, data, research, and business representatives. As a team member, you will co-own and co-shape the foundation for a future mobile experience in our products. If you have a product thinking mindset, excellent communication skills, a robust craft in mobile user-interface design, passion for design systems and are seeking ways to work on cross-organization solutions, in that case, we want to hear from you!

What you will be doing:

    • Collaborate closely with Design, Engineering, Product, Content Strategy, and Business to drive cross-functional alignment and define the best strategies for developing and delivering a seamless mobile experience to our customers.
    • Be involved in the end-to-end design, development, and implementation process by translating customer problems into solutions and design from workflow and interactions to high-fidelity visual designs. Be able to absorb multiple sources of feedback in the process, explore various hypotheses, and drive the decision-making process to ensure the best product experience in the existing context.
    • Your focus will be to help the Mobile App Platform team deliver on its goal of making mobile development across our products easier and faster; you will be working on a redesign of our mobile apps, and contributing to the mobile design part of our Design System to serve needs across multiple mobile channels and products (brands such as Otodom, Standvirtual, OLX, and more).
    • Work closely with a collaborative and cross-functional team in developing and implementing a high-quality product experience in all stages of product development. Manage opportunities for challenging the status quo and guide developers.
    • Represent the Product Design team in facilitating and contributing to design discussions and workshops, giving feedback in planning and product channels.

What skills and experience do you need:

    • Comprehensive understanding and practice of applied user-centered design methodologies, process stages (problem framing to hypothesis definition, ideation, testing solutions, design handover to implementation), and user research to tackle complex customer problems.
    • Aproven understanding of the technical aspects of the mobile development process and experience with successfully architecting, designing, and building scalable mobile products that remain relevant over time within a large product organization. A plus if you've already worked with cross-platform development frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, Compose.
    • You are a strong communicator with a proven track of close collaboration with different stakeholders and peers on directions and solutions. Experience managing expectations and resolving complex cases is a great addition.
    • Ability to design low and high-fidelity mockups for multiple devices using Figma and design systems. Strong skills in user-interface design and attention to detail are a must.
    • Good storytelling and strong communication skills, both verbal and written that allow you to explain the rationale behind your ideas and solutions with clarity and assertiveness. Fluent English is a must.
    • You are a self-starter and don't wait for tasks to be handed to you. You're eager to grow and help people around you grow together. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a diligent, autonomous, can-do attitude.
