OLX is a customer-obsessed, technology-driven group, operating in the online marketplace space across EU markets. Within our Global FP&A team, we are officially retiring the "old school" manual planning methods. What is FP&A at OLX? Think of us as the Financial Architects of the group. We don’t just track the past; we build the models that simulate the future. We are the strategic bridge between raw data and massive business decisions, shaping the long-term roadmap for one of the world’s major classifieds players.
We are looking for a builder who views financial planning as a data problem. If you are 2–3 years into your career, obsessed with using AI tools to solve complex puzzles, and interested in corporate strategy, this is your spot.
In a typical day at OLX, in the role of FP&A Specialist, you will focus on:
In this role, you won't just run reports; you will engineer them. Your typical day will balance high-level automation with the reality of group financial cycles:
- Help our team enter the AI era: Your primary mission is to massively leverage AI and automation to eliminate manual tasks across all FP&A workstreams, to free up time for more strategic, value-add analysis for you and the rest of the team.
- Help us anticipate the future of our business: you will help us strengthen our "forward-looking" view, engaging in budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Data-driven reporting / forecasting: you will use SQL, Python, and systems like Anaplan or OneStream to ensure accuracy in monthly, quarterly, and year-end planning.
- Strategic insights: you will examine trends in KPIs across revenue and expenses to support operational improvements and strategic planning decisions.
- Global collaboration and Top Management exposure: You will partner with international teams, including Operations, to develop analytical reports for senior management, offering insights that shape our long-term business plans.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
We need someone who understands the "why" of financial strategy but prefers the "how" of technology:
- The Experience: 2-3 years post-college with a track record in a high-growth tech or consulting environment.
- The Tech Stack: Proficiency in SQL, Python, and a genuine obsession with AI/LLM applications for financial modeling.
- Financial Logic: We aren't looking for an accountant to balance the books, but you do need enough "financial fluency" to ensure your automated models don't defy the laws of economics, and, let’s be honest, to actually enjoy this position.
- Systems Aptitude: You are eager to master and break/fix complex financial systems like Anaplan or OneStream.
- Agile Mindset: You are a proactive, independent thinker who can adapt when the strategy recalibrates.
