The role
We’re looking for a product-focused Android Engineer to join our fast-growing, mission-driven team at Numan. You’ll play a key role in building the next generation of digital health products, helping people take better care of themselves every day.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality features that have a real-world impact. This is a hands-on engineering role with the opportunity to shape both the product and our engineering culture.
You’ll be:
- Designing, building and maintaining robust Android features using Kotlin and modern Android tools.
- Collaborating closely with product managers, designers and marketers to shape user-centred solutions from concept to release.
- Playing an active role in code reviews, architectural discussions and improving engineering best practices.
- Mentoring less experienced engineers, supporting their growth and helping elevate the wider team.
- Contributing to technical decisions and proactively suggesting new ideas, tools or approaches that improve product quality and team velocity.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about crafting high-quality Android experiences that improve people's lives.
- Has strong Kotlin skills, with a solid understanding of the Android SDK, architecture components and modern libraries.
- Is a keen collaborator and loves working closely with design to bring intuitive interfaces to life.
- Has proven experience shipping Android apps to the Play Store - from idea to execution.
- Is used to working in agile teams, with strong problem-solving abilities and a drive for continuous improvement.
- Has excellent attention to detail - both in code quality and user experience.
It’s a bonus if you have:
- Experience with Jetpack Compose.
- A familiarity with CI/CD tools, automated testing or performance optimisation.
- Worked in either a health tech or regulated environment.
