Clinical Team Lead
The Role:
We’re seeking a Team Lead to join our Clinical team, responsible for the safe, effective and consistent delivery of clinical services. In this role, you will support clinical service delivery, maintain governance standards and ensure care is delivered in line with established protocols and regulatory requirements.
You will act as an escalation point for complex clinical queries and cases, while supporting clinician performance and contributing to continuous service improvement through structured processes and oversight.
This is an operational leadership role for someone who has run high-quality, high-volume services in a regulated healthcare setting. You'll drive performance, service improvement and operational discipline across clinical and support teams, working closely with clinicians to keep quality and patient safety high while the service scales.
You'll be:
- Line managing clinical and operational team members, setting clear performance expectations, tracking output and quality against them, and managing underperformance where it arises.
- Owning operational performance — turnaround, throughput and capacity — and driving measurable service improvement using operational and clinical data.
- Acting as the escalation point for complex clinical queries and cases, including safeguarding concerns where appropriate.
- Maintaining clinical governance standards through audits and ensuring adherence to established protocols and frameworks.
- Managing complaints and incidents, ensuring appropriate investigation, documentation and follow-up actions.
- Monitoring and interpreting clinical and operational performance data, using insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities for service improvement.
- Supporting performance management through the use of data, including audit outcomes, SLA adherence and clinical quality metrics.
- Contributing to clinical service delivery as required, adapting to new services and care pathways in line with business needs.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Extensive experience leading operations in a regulated healthcare, pharmacy or clinical services environment.
- A track record of driving measurable performance and service improvement — productivity, quality, turnaround or cost.
- Experience line managing teams and holding them to clear, objective performance standards.
- Strong operational and data literacy — comfortable defining and tracking KPIs and acting on what the data shows.
- Sound understanding of clinical governance, quality assurance and safeguarding, enough to run a safe service.
- Concise, decisive communication and comfort operating at pace.
It's a bonus if you have:
- Experience in a fast-paced, commercial or direct-to-consumer healthcare business.
- Continuous improvement or quality methodology (Lean, Six Sigma, PSIRF, ISO 9001).
- Experience in obesity management or men's health.
