Head of Commercial - Obesity
The Head of Commercial, Obesity runs the obesity business day to day: the proposition, the P&L and the commercial results. You’ll set the plan with the [VP of Commercial], make the weekly calls, and be the first to know when something is off and why.
Most of the levers sit in other teams. Marketing, CRM, product, pricing and clinical ops all shape the obesity P&L, so you’ll need to point resource you don’t own at the right priorities. You win that resource with a clear commercial case and the numbers behind it.
The person who excels here thinks like an owner. They know CAC, CM2, cohort retention and approval rate without being asked, and they read the weekly numbers looking for the problem before anyone flags it. They care about patients, who come to Numan at a personal moment and need to trust us before they’ll stay.
You will:
- Run patient growth, revenue and CM2 for obesity against plan. Build the plan with the [VP of Commercial], track performance weekly, explain the variances and act on them.
- Shape what we sell, at what price and on what commitment. Weigh better unit economics against a wider funnel, and bring clear recommendations to leadership for the biggest decisions.
- Lead the obesity commercial team and run the weekly obesity forum. Line up marketing, CRM, product and clinical ops behind the highest priorities.
- Manage the day-to-day commercial relationships with Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly, from launch planning to data sharing, working alongside senior leadership on the most strategic conversations.
- Every commercial decision lands inside clinical guardrails. Build a relationship with the clinical team where each side trusts the other’s judgement, because patients need both.
- Use AI in commercial work such as analysis, forecasting, CRM, creative and patient support. We want someone who has tried it in practice and learned from it.
You'll have:
- Commercial or P&L responsibility for a category, product line or channel in a D2C subscription, marketplace or consumer health business, ideally against well-funded competitors.
- Fluent in unit economics, and comfortable going from a cohort table to a pricing recommendation in the same meeting.
- A track record of driving growth through teams they don’t manage directly.
- Strong product instincts, held loosely. They’ll drop an idea they love when the numbers say so.
- Examples of using AI to change how a team works.
- Experience in a regulated market (healthcare, financial services, insurance) is a plus.
