The role
As the Head of Clinical, Obesity, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping Numan's obesity program. You'll oversee the strategic clinical direction, ensure operational excellence, and position Numan as a thought leader in obesity medicine. You’ll collaborate across teams, drive evidence-based care, and support cutting-edge research in partnership with our Clinical Research team.
You'll be responsible for:
Strategic Leadership:
• Define and implement the overall clinical strategy for Numan’s obesity program.
• Ensure the program remains aligned with the latest clinical evidence, guidelines, and innovations in obesity medicine.
• Act as a thought leader, representing Numan at conferences, events, and in publications.
Operational Management & Efficiency:
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the obesity program.
• Collaborating with teams across Clinical Product, Commercial, Growth, and Data to optimise service delivery.
• Driving improvements in operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of clinical care.
Team Leadership:
• Leading and mentoring a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, with a Clinical Lead as a direct report.
• Fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Providing guidance and oversight to ensure the team delivers exceptional patient outcomes.
Clinical Excellence:
• Ensuring all clinical interventions are evidence-based and in line with the latest research and guidance.
• Working closely with the Clinical Research team to develop and implement innovative studies.
• Monitoring clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction to drive continuous improvement.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- A licence to practise and is a GMC-registered doctor
- Registered as a GMC Specialist Register with extensive post-CCT experience or a qualified GP.
- A demonstrated interest and expertise in obesity medicine.
- Proven experience within the health tech sector, leveraging technology to enhance patient care.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead teams.
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of leading from the front and driving team performance.
