Mobileye's Data Collection team is at the forefront of autonomous driving and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS)  technology, ensuring the collection of high-quality data through meticulous operation of data collection vehicles and data handling processes. This involves driving responsibilities, with a focus on executing data collection missions across varied environments and conditions.

As a Data Collection Field Expert in Michigan, you will play a crucial role in this process, acting as a system operator, data handler, and technical troubleshooter along with driving responsibilities that include coordinating driving missions.
You will be responsible for executing data collection missions, managing and uploading data, and ensuring its integrity. This includes recording data for extended periods to capture diverse scenarios and contribute to the development of robust autonomous driving and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) systems.

Additionally, you will contribute to system installation, configuration, and debugging, while also supporting and training fellow team members. This role requires a technical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit. You will be working closely with internal teams and contributing directly to the advancement of Mobileye's cutting-edge autonomous driving and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology. Travel of up to 35% will be required, primarily within the US, to support data collection expeditions and missions.

What will your job look like?

    • Operate data collection vehicles, drive, and execute missions with a defined KPI of approximately 5hours of data recorded per day,
    • Handle data, including data uploads, validation of uploaded data, and handover of the finished data to the customers (Mobileye Internal).
    • Update tasks progress via the group’s defined procedures and tools using different data systems (such as Jira, Monday, etc.).
    • Help with technical assignments such as systems physical installation and software configuration. Debug systems and assist the other drivers with operating and debugging their systems on a daily level.
    • Vehicle maintenance and upkeep – update fleet management about upcoming services / issues and work together to resolve the issues (vehicle maintenance management to be done via external service provider, such as ‘Wheels’).
    • Onboard new drivers / team members, and educational tasks, such as occasional training workshops on Mobileye systems of the relevant drivers needs and tools.
    • Travel up to 35%, mainly within the US, but not exclusively, as part of specific expedition effort outside of Michigan area.
    • 100% in-office position based in Madison Heights office.
    • Full time position.

All You Need Is:

    • 5 years minimum driving’s license
    • Valid, clean driving license and record
    • Computer handling skills:
    • MS Office
    • Linux – significant advantage
    • Jira, Monday – nice to have
    • Computer hardware – nice to have
    • Ability to carry or lift 20 pounds for various needs.
    • Ability to sit, stand, or walk in the office, vehicle facility, and service providers.
    • Ability to push and pull 20 pounds.
    • Able to drive prolonged hours.
    • Ability to type.
    • Certified Practical Engineer
    • Usually up to 2 years of experience.
