Based in Toms River, NJ, the corporate office of Mintec, is currently seeking a Full-Time Regional Finance Controller. The Finance Controller will oversee the accounting operations of the US entity, including the generation of financial reports, upkeep of accounting records, and implementation of control systems and budgets to reduce risk. They will uphold accountability and ensure the accuracy of financial data in compliance with established accounting standards. Collaborating with the Executive Team and reporting into the Group Finance Controller, this person will also manage cash flow and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

    • Lead a US-based accounting team, overseeing ARR in excess of $25m+ and organisations with collective headcount in excess of 100.
    • Business partner to key US-based C-Suite leaders, supporting them with analysis.
    • Play an active part in the Senior Finance Leadership Team, including work on global initiatives.
    • Partner with leaders and managers at all levels to support them in understanding the financial consequences of their actions.
    • Preparation of monthly financial statements, with insightful commentary on variance to budget/ forecast.
    • Ensure accurate reporting of ARR and Revenue Recognition in line with IFRS15/ ASC606.
    • In conjunction with the Group FP&A lead, manage annual budget and periodic forecast processes, including cashflow forecasts.
    • Maintenance and development of Financial Controls Framework.
    • Lead excellence in ensuring timely receivables collections.
    • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
    • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
    • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report and tax filings.

Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Preference given to candidates with relevant certifications such as a CPA.
    • Strong background in a SaaS environment
    • Relationship builder with service mindset
    • Confident, inquisitive, persistent and driven to improve
    • Strong appreciate of the power of system-driven efficiencies
    • Familiarity with ERPs and adjacent software such as CRM
    • Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite advantageous
    • High attention to detail and ability to spot patterns and anomalies
    • Clear, concise written and spoken communication skills
    • CPA, Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
    • 3-5 years PQE
