We are currently recruiting a Senior Data Engineer – Warehouse who will be integral to driving high-level performance across Lovehoney Group. Partnering directly with platform engineering team members, analysts, and stakeholders, your focus will be on defining and building the group’s Data Warehouse.
What you will do
- Use our current technology stack (Google Analytics, Terraform, Big Query, Airflow, and Superset) to integrate data sources from their raw schemas in the data lake into clean, standardized, easy-to-query tables.
- Collaborate with platform engineering team members, analysts, and stakeholders from across the business to define and build the group’s Data Warehouse.
- Build and maintain a robust data warehouse to support business objectives.
- Ensure data stewardship and the delivery of accurate data.
- Implement data warehousing best practices and maintain high data quality standards.
What you should bring
- Mathematical, scientific, or engineering degree.
- Additional three years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience of building and maintaining a data warehouse.
- Understanding of standard e-commerce KPIs and financial terminology.
- Proven experience and understanding of Big Query and SQL.
- Proven experience using Python to create Airflow DAGs.
- Proven experience using source control (GIT).
- Any experience of using Terraform.
- Understanding of data stewardship and the responsibility to deliver accurate data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Any experience using Soda Core or an equivalent solution.
- Any experience using other products within the Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience querying the default Google Analytics schema within Big Query.
- Experience using Jinja.
