We are currently recruiting an HR Advisor who will be integral to driving high-level performance across Lovehoney Group. Partnering directly with local management, the local office administrator and the wider global People Team, your focus will be on providing HR advice, support and services to the Lovehoney Group Australian site. You will act as first point of contact for all aspects of HR operations including compliance, employee and industrial relations, labour law, employee engagement and retention, recruitment, training & development, policies and other HR topics.

This position will work approximately 20 hours per week, with some flexibility on days/times, and will be a fully on-site position.

What you will do

    • Serve as first point of contact for any HR related questions, providing expert advice
    • Continually review all workplace rights and obligations to ensure legal compliance with Fair Work Act/Award/Classification; monitor and implement relevant Award changes
    • Support and advise local managers with employee relations issues, support with and participate in consultations, performance management, discipline, redundancies and other industrial relations activities. Collaborate with local management on workplace health and safety initiatives, WorkCover claims and administration.
    • Oversee Office Administrator in delivery of employee onboarding and offboarding, coordination of training, HR system updates, payroll changes, contractual changes, etc.
    • Collaborate with global People Team on initiatives and projects, such as global policy and program development, annual pay review cycle, bonus processes, feedback cycles, talent acquisition activities and other new initiatives.

What you should bring

    • Degree or diploma in Human Resources, business or a related topic
    • 4+ years’ experience delivering HR generalist support, ideally in a manufacturing or warehousing environment; previous experience in a stand-alone HR role is an asset
    • Solid understanding of all relevant employment and WHS law and regulations and the ability to research, interpret and apply legislation, policies and guidance material including Fair Work legislation and application
    • Excellent problem solving, negotiating and influencing skills with demonstrated experience managing ER and IR cases
    • Skilled in building relationships, coaching, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
    • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, and experience working with HR systems
