We are currently recruiting a Product Compliance Expert who will be integral to driving high-level performance across the Lovehoney Group. Partnering directly with the Head of Global Quality & Compliance, your focus will be on ensuring compliance and regulatory sign off for all product and packaging across all retail channels.

What you will do

    • Research and Regulatory Compliance:
    • Conduct ongoing research to stay ahead of safety and compliance standards relevant to our product range, including new product categories and geographical market expansions
Act as a key communicator, ensuring that all compliance requirements are understood and adhered to across different departments within the organisation

    • Product Development Support:
    • Engage actively in product development initiatives, providing expertise to guarantee that our products meet all safety, regulatory, and company-specific standards for our target markets
Work closely with product design and development teams, integrating compliance considerations seamlessly from the initial design phase through to product completion

    • Compliance Monitoring and Resolution:
    • Monitor and analyze compliance non-conformities and emerging trends within the industry to preemptively address potential issues
Lead efforts in resolving any compliance-related challenges, ensuring that our products continue to meet the required standards without compromising on quality or innovation

    • Laboratory Testing Coordination:
    • Establish and maintain partnerships with testing laboratories to conduct necessary product testing, ensuring our products are in line with the latest compliance standards
Oversee the testing process, from selection through to completion, acting as the liaison between the company and external testing facilities to ensure accuracy and timeliness in compliance testing

What should you bring

    • Minimum of five years' experience in product compliance, with a strong preference for candidates possessing expertise in electrical and electronic products. This experience should include a thorough understanding of global compliance standards, regulatory requirements, and the ability to apply this knowledge in practical, product-focused scenarios
    • A degree in a technical field (e.g., engineering, environmental science) or law is highly advantageous. This educational foundation should support the candidate's understanding of the complexities involved in product compliance, including the interpretation of legal and regulatory documents, as well as the technical aspects of product testing and certification
    • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking. The role requires clear and effective communication across various departments and with external partners, making language proficiency crucial
    • Strong proficiency in IT tools, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and their equivalents. Candidates should be comfortable working with spreadsheets, creating documents, and utilise software to manage and analyse compliance data efficiently
