Currently we are seeking a Manager Global Accounting & Tax to lead a modern Accounting team, striving to be a value adding function to the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring appropriate and efficient accounting processes in all sub-ledgers of the Group.
- Ensuring global tax compliance in close co-ordination with our Group Tax Manager and our local tax advisors.
- Coordinate the timely preparation of monthly and annual financial statements together with the team.
- Active involvement in the Senior Finance Team activities, a.o. discuss and develop the Finance strategy and drive the relevant initiatives of the Finance Roadmap.
- Be the main contact person for our auditors.
- Coordination of tasks related to tax audits.
- Cash Management, organization of the regular payment run and administration of bank accounts (set-up, accesses, authorizations, etc.).
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional qualification as a CPA, tax advisor, or similar certification is advantageous.
- First experience in leading accounting teams and in international accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of national and international accounting standards (IFRS, German GAAP).
- Experience with German and international tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements and conducting tax audits.
- Knowledge of cash management organization and bank account management.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Focused on process management, including the ability to streamline and optimize accounting and tax processes.
- Confident and proficient in using ERP systems, with no hesitation in navigating and utilizing their accounting modules.
- Effective communication skills with various stakeholders, including auditors and tax authorities.
- Detail-oriented with high problem-solving skills.
- High self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken; German language skills are a plus.
