Freelance Bilingual Reviewers – Chinese Song Lyrics Translation (Remote)

 

Project Overview

We are looking for bilingual freelancers to help evaluate the quality of Chinese translations of English song lyrics.

In this project, contributors will review translated lyrics and assess whether the meaning, tone, and cultural context are accurately preserved. The role is well suited for linguists, translators, or music enthusiasts who are fluent in both languages and have strong attention to detail.

This is a flexible, remote opportunity, and work will be completed through a secure online platform provided by our client.

 

What You’ll Do

Contributors will review translated song lyrics and provide feedback on translation quality.

Tasks may include:

Reviewing Chinese translations of English song lyrics line by line

Identifying and flagging translations that introduce offensive, harmful, or culturally inappropriate language

Checking whether the core meaning of the original lyrics is preserved

Flagging issues related to clarity, readability, or tone

Submitting evaluations through the project platform

 

Requirements

Native or near-native fluency in Chinese

Strong proficiency in English

Good understanding of cultural nuances, idioms, and lyrical language

Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate translation quality

Ability to work independently and follow project guidelines

Previous experience in translation, localization, or linguistic QA is a plus

Interest in music, lyrics, or language is highly valued

$12 - $14 an hour
