About Lendable

Lendable is on a mission to make consumer finance amazing: faster, cheaper and friendlier.

> We're building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:
> One of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 400 people
> Among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK
> Profitable since 2017
> Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs
> Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot)

So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days.

We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.

Join us if you want to

> Take ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1
> Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo
> Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting

About the role

We're on the lookout for an IT Systems Engineer to join our team! Do you enjoy scripting, automation, and network support? As part of this role, you'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining various IT systems and integrations, ensuring they meet our organisation's requirements and specifications. We're after someone with a deep understanding of the latest technologies and industry best practices, to make sure our IT solutions are always reliable and effective.

You'll need to be well-versed in a range of technologies, for example, Google Workspace, Mobile Device Management (MDM), Identity Provider (IDP) and Machine Learning/AI. You'll be the go-to person for IT related matters and managing mobile devices across the organisation including (but not limited to) integrating IDP solutions for secure access control.

As a key member of our team, you'll be working closely with our IT Support, DevOps and Security teams to ensure our IT systems run smoothly. You'll need to have strong collaboration and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team, prioritise tasks, and tackle complex problems like a pro!

Your responsibilities

    • Implement and maintain identity access management integration, networking, debugging, and external file and secret sharing tooling (e.g. SFTP)
    • Develop and implement system scripting tasks to streamline processes and implement integrations between SaaS and internal services
    • Participate in cyber incident response and resolution, implement automation for systems integration, and collaborate on IT projects
    • Create and publish documentation, including runbooks, and possess strong communication and documentation skills.
    • Working with our partners to provide the best technical implementation while learning.
    • Support IT BAU tasks, including ticketing, troubleshooting, and maintenance, as well as onboarding/offboarding new employees and managing repairs and disposal of tech equipment

What we're looking for

    • 3-5+ years of experience in IT systems, Senior IT support, or device management, with strong capabilities in scripting, automation, and networking.
    • Experience with MDM platforms (Jumpcloud, Jamf) for Windows, Mac, and Linux systems, proficient in .zsh (Mac) and PowerShell (Windows).
    • Familiarity with Identity Provider (IDP) platforms such as Okta, as well as knowledge of Group Policy Objects (GPO)
    • Experience with implementing and maintaining IT systems and integrations and network support.
    • Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong customer service skills are a must-have, along with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms to non-technical colleagues.

Nice to haves

    • Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
    • Experience with Linux and familiarity with extensive GPU configurations or virtual clusters utilising Multi-Instance GPUs (MIG)
    • Exposure and experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Bash.
    • Experience in managing Windows environments, including automated application installation and patch management

Interview process

    • A quick phone call with the talent partner and one of the team
    • A holistic tech interview - interactive coding and technical questions
    • A culture interview - meet the team and then meet one of the leadership team
