About Lendable

Lendable is on a mission to make consumer finance amazing: faster, cheaper and friendlier.

> We're building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:
> One of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 400 people
> Among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK
> Profitable since 2017
> Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs
> Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot)

So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days.

We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.

Join us if you want to

> Take ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1
> Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo
> Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting

About the role

We are welcoming applications from anyone great with numbers, loves problem-solving and has experience in analysing retention or monetisation in direct–to-consumer apps, financial or otherwise.

We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate strong analytical judgements in digital marketing, particularly in driving ongoing engagement, retention and monetisation over time. We want someone who has experience interrogating various data sources and tying the data to real-world dynamics to make meaningful contributions to our overall strategy.

You’ll be working in a small, ambitious and fast-paced team of data-driven troubleshooters, not standard marketers, so this role is for thorough, self-reliant and curious applicants.

Your team's objectives

    • We are responsible for the growth of all lending products, and this role is focused on direct acquisition by engaging our customers with the combined proposition of all our many products together over time
    • Ultimately, the team asks ‘where can we efficiently find new customers?’, ‘what are my users’ current needs?’, and ‘When shall I present which product or service?’
    • Most of the team is multifunctional and responsible for identifying and pulling the biggest available levers of growth either directly or by drawing on other teams.

How you'll impact those objectives

    • You will begin by learning about our various products, current acquisition dynamics and the roadmap of new features, products and services being rolled out
    • You will then be responsible for the analysis and insights across engagement, retention and monetisation
    • You will cover the full stack from data piping and the minting of important features, through to insightful analytics reports and dashboards
    • Key to the role is pulling out the most important insights to ensure we make good decisions in all areas, and pruning excess analytics that is no longer relevant or needed
    • You will automate data pipelines and intermediary data layers to facilitate the quick and accurate production of insights by both your team and others
    • Role progression includes gradually owning more responsibility for prioritisation of the analytics workstreams, as you contribute more to the strategy

What we're looking for in this role

    • Evidence of deep excellence in something that you are passionate about
    • Experience in mathematical, analytical, engineering or scientific domains
    • Strong analytical mindset and use of statistical validity when comparing outcomes, with close attention to detail in nuanced problems
    • Deep experience with Mobile Measurement Platforms and their integrations
    • Strong experience in SQL, Python, dbt, Snowflake, SuperSet or similar tools
    • Excitement about the opportunity to work in a real entrepreneurial environment and have a real impact on the business
