About Lendable

Lendable is on a mission to make consumer finance amazing: faster, cheaper and friendlier.

> We're building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:
> One of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 400 people
> Among the top 10 fastest-growing tech companies in the UK
> Profitable since 2017
> Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs
> Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot)

So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days.

We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.

Join us if you want to

> Take ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1
> Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo
> Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting

About the role

We welcome applications from anyone great with numbers, who loves problem-solving and has 3-5 years of relevant experience; we will ensure the title and compensation will reflect the final role: Analyst, Associate or Manager.

We want someone with experience interrogating different data sources and tying the information to real-world dynamics to make meaningful contributions to our overall strategy. The candidate would have experience in customer acquisition of US financial services across direct marketing or comparison sites, including in hosted models like Lightbox. The candidate also needs experience in growth and conversion optimisation through experimentation.

You’ll be working in a small, ambitious and fast-paced team of data-driven troubleshooters, not standard marketers, so this role is for thorough, self-reliant and curious applicants.

Your team's objectives

    • We are responsible for the growth of all lending products, delivering projects via our price comparison site partnerships or directly into the market.
    • Ultimately, the team asks ‘Where can we efficiently find new customers?’, ‘What can I improve with my current channels?’, and ‘What can I improve in the product to benefit customers?’.
    • Most of the team is multifunctional and responsible for identifying and pulling the biggest available levers of growth either directly or by drawing on other teams.
    • We are expanding the team to increase the resources we can bring to scale our newest market: the United States.

How you'll impact those objectives

    • You will manage analytics and improvement of all credit card and unsecured loan acquisition channels; optimising them for volume, cost and credit quality.
    • Key to the role is preparing all kinds of different analyses; pulling out the most important insights to ensure we make good decisions in all areas.
    • You will combine quantitative and qualitative judgements to triage ideas and strategies; focusing our efforts on the key levers for growth.
    • You will then work with product and growth functions to deliver improvements in the journeys you are monitoring.
    • The role progression includes gradually owning the full responsibility for strategy and execution of specific partner projects, marketing efforts or product enhancements that deliver business growth, including Direct Mail campaigns.

What we're looking for in this role

    • Evidence of deep excellence in something that you are passionate about
    • Experience in financial services customer acquisition
    • Strong analytical mindset and use of statistical validity when comparing outcomes, with close attention to detail in nuanced problems
    • Strong logical modelling and spreadsheet skills with experience in SQL and/or Python or similar
    • Excitement about the opportunity to work in a real entrepreneurial environment and have a real impact on the business
$110,000 - $150,000 a year

> 401k plan and medical insurance (optical + dental covered)
