We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing complex data pipelines and maintaining data systems to support our organization's data infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of data management, data warehousing, and ETL processes. You’ll work closely with the Data Science, Analytics, and Product teams to ensure that our data infrastructure meets the needs of the business, enabling data-driven decision-making and seamless data access across the company.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Design, develop, and optimize complex data pipelines for handling large-scale data.
    • Integrate data from various sources to create cohesive and consistent databases.
    • Implement and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data quality.
    • Ensure best practices in data governance, data security, and compliance.
    • Maintain data warehouse environments for storing and analyzing large volumes of data.
    • Collaborate closely with Data Science, Analytics, and Product teams to define data requirements and ensure reliable data delivery
    • Monitor the performance of data systems and perform optimizations when necessary.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

    • Solid experience with SQL
    • Strong expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Snowflake).
    • Proven experience with ETL tools and data integration platforms.
    • Hands-on experience with Cloud Computing platforms, particularly in data engineering contexts.
    • Knowledge in data modeling and best practices in data governance.
    • Experience with version control systems (Git).
    • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

NICE TO HAVE

    • Experience with AWS data services, especially Glue, Redshift, and Athena.
    • Knowledge in Data Streaming technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka, Kinesis).
    • Exposure to DevOps practices and tools applied to data engineering environments.
    • Experience with Big Data tools and platforms, such as Hadoop or Spark.
