About our Airline Relations Team

Our Airline Relations team is responsible for establishing commercial agreements with strategic airline partners in order to secure access to the most attractive flight routes and competitive prices. 
Spread over four main locations in Brno, Prague, Barcelona and London, the team is responsible for prioritising partners based on business objectives, negotiating deals and working closely with the product and technology teams at Kiwi.com to deliver technical integration. The team also works closely with Customer Support, to address any customer-related issues and escalations from our partner airlines. Our team is number-driven and goal-oriented,  while always encouraging creative thinking and experimentation.

What you will do

    • You will build and maintain strong relationships with strategic airline partners, ensuring alignment with Kiwi.com’s long-term objectives.
    • You will lead negotiations to secure direct distribution agreements with airlines, delivering mutually beneficial terms while adhering to industry regulations.
    • By identifying new airline partners and opportunities, you will expand our airline network and enhance our competitive positioning.
    • You’ll provide strategic guidance to our product, tech, and operations teams to ensure our processes and products align with airline requirements.
    • You will closely collaborate with internal teams to drive product innovation and operational improvements based on airline feedback and industry needs.
    • Leveraging your commercial expertise, you will identify new revenue streams and optimise airline relationships for business growth.
    • You will develop and monitor KPIs for airline partnerships, regularly reporting on performance and identifying areas for improvement.
    • By staying informed on market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies, you will ensure we remain competitive in the aviation industry.

What you will need

    • Extensive commercial leadership experience within the travel or aviation industry, with a strong track record of driving business growth and leading commercial teams.
    • Proven negotiation skills, with a track record of successfully closing complex agreements and collaborating with legal teams to ensure compliance.
    • You are proficient in digital tools like Google Sheets and analytical platforms, demonstrating your ability to use data to inform decisions and optimise performance.
    • People and team management skills, including the ability to set expectations for the team and to support managerial and individual contributors in reaching their goals and delivering feedback.
    • Your excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly present ideas and negotiate effectively.
    • Your analytical mindset with a willingness to challenge assumptions, explore new ideas, and outperform competitors through innovative thinking.
    • An international mindset, you are comfortable working within cross-cultural environments and are able to evaluate and embrace global business opportunities.
    • You value teamwork and can build trust with peers and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
    • You are detail-oriented and organised, you are able to translate strategy into actionable plans and implement processes that deliver results.
