We at the Inventory domain at Kiwi.com are responsible for ensuring that our users find the search results they are looking for, at the right price by acquiring comprehensive, accurate, and competitive flight content.  As a vital component of this mission, the Inventory Analytics and Experimentation team focuses on delivering insights and identifying new opportunities for improvement through leveraging market, trading and, internal performance data.

What you will do

    • As an Analytics Engineer, you will be at the intersection of data and business, ensuring that our data supports reliable and insightful decision-making.
    • You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs, identify key data sources, and design efficient, scalable data models.
    • You will oversee the entire data transformation process that supports data analytics.
    • You will own the data validation and integration activities, ensuring that our data warehouse and source systems deliver trustworthy data for reporting and analysis.
    • You will translate business data requirements into actionable technical tasks. You will design and implement sustainable solutions to meet current and future data needs, while ensuring that data quality remains high.
    • Working closely with the Data Engineering team, you will build scalable, maintainable data products and support the overall architecture of our data warehouse.
    • In addition, you will proactively diagnose and resolve data quality issues, offering recommendations for corrective actions and long-term prevention.
    • By ensuring seamless data flows and accuracy, you will empower business users with the insights they need to make informed decisions.

What you will need

    • Experience in Data Analytics or Data Engineering, with strong proficiency in SQL for building and optimising data solutions
    • Solid understanding of ETL processes, data modelling techniques along with cloud-based data warehouse architecture
    • Familiarity with data orchestration and automation tools (e.g. Airflow, Prefect) and experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake)
    • Experience with data versioning and code management (e.g. Git, CI/CD pipelines)
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • A problem-solving mindset, with curiosity and a willingness to innovate and improve data infrastructure and processes
    • Nice to have: Experience with BI tools and managing the semantic layer (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Power BI), including LookML or equivalent.
