About our Fintech team
In our Fintech team, we are responsible for all the monetary flows within Kiwi.com. We are the team of developers, payment specialists, business & data analysts and product magicians inside Kiwi.com. We are charged with building the pillars of everything directly or indirectly related to payments at Kiwi.com. We manage payments from our customers, payments to airlines and to travel agencies, carefully preventing fraudulent behaviour and ensuring the financial safety of our customers - our impact makes it safer for you to travel!
What you will do
- You'll play a crucial role in enhancing our payment flow experience, helping us to optimize our customer front-end experience when making payments.
- You will focus your attention to the important details, and catching bugs early, keeping in mind that the cost of error is high.
- You will participate in cross-platform discoveries, writing technical proposals, and implementing our customer-facing features.
- You’ll cooperate mainly with backend developers within our team.
What you will need
- You possess a comprehensive understanding of front-end technologies including React, Next.js, Redux, React-form, and Tailwind CSS. You are knowledgeable about optimizing the performance of JS applications - from measuring and writing efficient code, to identifying and resolving areas of concern in the code.
- You communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally, and you’re committed to continuous learning and improvement. You're open to asking questions, experimenting, embracing setbacks, and using what you learn to achieve success.
- You excel at interpreting business needs into technical solutions and vice versa. You have a keen interest in FinTech and customer payment processing.
- You have a broad understanding of microservices and OOP design patterns, and you're familiar with REST principles. You also have experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Testing Library, and Playwright.
- Your readiness to engage with Python on the backend would be advantageous. Our backend technology stack includes Flask, Falcon, FastAPI, Connexion, Celery, SQLAlchemy, Datadog, K8s, Docker, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
